Who we are
More than 40 years are no coincidence.
Since 1984 we have offered the best solutions in repair and maintenance for all types of vessels, sail and motor.
We are a Mediterranean benchmark: the repair & refit shipyard in Arenys de Mar and an exclusive superyacht marina in Mataró. A strategic position between Barcelona and the Costa Brava makes us the first shipyard arriving from France.

Shipyard
Refit and maintenance in Arenys de Mar: paint, mechanics, carpentry, electronics, hydraulics and rigging, with workshops and offices in the same working area.

Marina
30 exclusive berths for vessels up to 60 metres at Mataró Marina Barcelona, with restricted access, 24/7 security and crew areas.

Tender Clinic
Over 3,000 m² for tender care and storage: collection from the berth, maintenance, winterisation and delivery on board ready to use.

Commercial & Project Management
Planning, budgets, suppliers, certifications and TPAs, with regular reporting and post-refit warranty.

We coordinate a network of specialists and partner workshops mastering the most advanced industrial processes in the sector: mechanics, carpentry, joinery, paint, electronics, hydraulics and welding. 1984
Varador 2000 is founded
A family business dedicated to the repair and maintenance of sail and motor vessels.
2000
Base at the Arenys de Mar shipyard
Operations concentrate on the 12,000 m² technical esplanade at the harbour entrance, with workshops and offices in the same working area.
2011
First ISO certifications
Craftsmanship becomes method: audited processes, traceability and quality control on every refit.
2012
Mataró Marina Barcelona is created
An exclusive marina of 30 berths for vessels up to 60 metres, four miles from the shipyard.
2021
FAGEM Business Career Award
Recognition from the Maresme employers’ association for almost four decades in the region’s nautical sector.
2024
Shipyard of the Year and AEO certification
Shipyard of the Year at the third edition of the Catalonia Awards. As an Authorised Economic Operator we can also manage TPAs at both the shipyard and the marina, with a 21% VAT exemption for eligible vessels.

Excellence, certified and audited.
Excellence is not declared, it is certified. In Arenys and Mataró we operate under ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety), and we hold AEO certification (Authorised Economic Operator), which gives us customs agility and credibility on any international operation. In Mataró we also add EMAS, the European Union's most demanding eco-management and audit scheme.
