Jaime Monjo Carrió’s Comet 41S will compete in the 2015 Barcelona ORC World Championship under the name Mataró Marina Barcelona , ​​the superyacht base managed by Varador 2000 in the port of Mataró. The yacht, which finished second in the last edition of the Conde de Godó Trophy for sailing in ORC1, is shaping up to be one of the best-positioned candidates for a podium place in the world championship of this class, which will be held in the waters of Barcelona from June 27 to July 4.

Luis Martínez Doreste, skipper of the regatta team and Olympic sailor, commands a very experienced and competitive crew composed of Aleix Gelabert (fourth place in the last edition of the Barcelona World Race), Natalia Via-Dufresne (Olympic medalist), Roberto Molina (Olympic medalist), Toni Rivas (pre-Olympic), Ricardo Terrades, Luis Mas, Jaime Monjo Hernández, Xiqui Mas, Borja Villagrán and Gerardo Prego.

The crew has participated in various world and European sailing championships, as well as in a considerable number of Spanish championships and top-level international regattas, such as the Copa del Rey, which they have won on several occasions. The entire crew is very excited about this new project and hopes to form a well-coordinated team to enjoy the regatta and perform well at the 2015 Barcelona ORC World Championship, their ultimate goal. Jaime Monjo and Luis Martínez Doreste, two highly experienced sailors, have personally supervised the setup of the Real Club Marítimo de Barcelona (RCMB) sailboat for this edition of the ORC World Championship.
