The boat Varador 2000-Original Sin will take part in the 40th edition of the Conde de Godó Sailing Regatta to be held in the waters of Barcelona from 22 to 26 May, representing the organising club, the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona (RCNB).

The boat, ex Bribon XV, has been built by the company Varador 2000, a benchmark in the Catalan and Spanish nautical sector. The yacht is one of the strongest candidates for the final victory in its category, the ORC 0, as it is a very competitive boat (the longest in the fleet and equipped with high technology) and, in addition, it has been equipped with a high level crew headed by its owner, Xiqui Mas, general manager of Varador 2000.

The Varador 2000-Original Sin has an exceptional crew, with a large and extensive team of sailors with an enviable track record. It includes Olympic medallists such as Roberto Molina, and people as experienced as the Olympic sailor Luis Martínez Doreste at the helm, the pre-Olympic Toni Ribas and the experience of Toni Tió, among others. The crew has participated in 12 world sailing championships, 15 European championships and a considerable number of Spanish championships and international regattas such as the Copa del Rey, which they have also won on several occasions. The whole crew is very excited about this new project and they hope to form a good, close-knit team to enjoy the regatta, which is their main objective.

The Varador 2000-Original Sin is a top competition sailing yacht that incorporates a very high and sophisticated level of technology that has not yet been surpassed. Designed by the Judel & Vrolijk team and built by the Castellón engineer Ximo López in 2003, it has recently been fine-tuned in the Varador 2000 shipyard in Arenys de Mar to compete again with the maximum guarantee of success in this and other regattas.
