The Blanes Nàutic company becomes part of the Varador 2000 group. In this way, the Arenys de Mar group assumes the management of the activities that until now this company developed in the port of Blanes, focused on the management of its technical area and the commercialization of boats. Varador 2000 will give continuity to “the positive management done so far” and will reinforce and expand the dry dock services.
With this operation, the clients of Blanes Nàutic (formerly known as AN Blanes Nàutic) will gain with new services and, in addition, “will have technical and logistical support and services” from Varador 2000, which will apply all its experience of more than 35 years in the repair & refit sector to “reactivate and update the Blanes facilities and make them a benchmark in the international and tourist markets”.
At the head of the new Blanes Nàutic, Varador 2000 has placed Benet Casanovas, who will occupy the new management of industrial and commercial activity. Benet Casanovas has directed the commercial management of Blanes Nàutic for the last eight years and knows perfectly the territory, the nautical sector and its needs, both in terms of management and promotion.
Strategic position
Varador 2000 is the reference shipyard on the north coast of Barcelona specializing in lengths from 20 to 50 meters. Its Arenys de Mar repair & refit technical base is located in a strategic position on the Mediterranean coast, halfway between Barcelona and the Costa Brava. Currently Varador 2000 offers its clients a wide range of technical services with industrial workshops specialized in different areas of nautical such as boilermaking, carpentry, joinery, painting, electronics, electricity, hydraulics, motors, interior and exterior upholstery and sails, as well as services of hardware, composite laminates, wintering and boarding, among others. Varador 2000 also offers its clients its exclusive services, Tender Clinic specific for superyacht tender, and Teak Clinic for repair and maintenance of teak surfaces for superyachts.
Varador 2000 has considerably increased the perimeter of its Arenys de Mar facilities, has expanded and rearranged the docking area and has built a new warehouse to house the new industrial workshops and its own technical units in its facilities. These facilities, pioneers in the Catalan nautical sector, have completed 36 years of uninterrupted service to the nautical sector. Varador 2000 repair & refit facilities have ISO 9001 quality management, ISO 14001 environmental management and ISO 45001 occupational prevention (health and safety management) approvals.
