Varador 2000 hands over the sailing yacht Fortuna to the King of Spain

The general manager of Varador 2000 , Xiqui Mas, and the founder of the company, Lluís Mas, together with a group of shipowners led by José Cusí, have today presented the King of Spain with his first sailboat, the Fortuna , fully restored. King Juan Carlos has lent the sailboat Fortuna, with which he participated in the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, to the Juan Antonio Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum . From now on, the sailboat will be permanently exhibited in said museum. The sailboat has been fully restored by Varador 2000 in its technical area in Arenys de Mar.

The presentation ceremony for the Fortuna to the monarch took place yesterday in Hall 2 of the Gran Vía venue at the Fira de Barcelona, ​​where the yacht has been on display for the past few days for the 50th Barcelona Boat Show. The event was also attended by the Mayor of Barcelona, ​​Xavier Trias; the Regional Minister for Territory and Sustainability of the Generalitat (Catalan Government), Lluís Recoder; the Government Delegate in Catalonia, Montserrat García; as well as the President of Fira de Barcelona, ​​Josep Lluís Bonet, and the President of the Barcelona International Boat Show, Luis Conde.
